Today I gave my yoga students the option to have an extra long savasana, 3 our of 4 said yes (fourth student didn't care one way or another). My rationale being that we have done the summer time change last night, so a bit of extra rest would be welcome.
So I did an XL savasana, with both a guided body scan and a pranayama exercise (mini yoga nidra session) before settling into (gentle music) savasana.
It was a very welcome change in class, it seems :)

diaphram release
1. lie on floor or horizonal, knees bent.
2. with an awareness of the diaphram, begin to cry or laugh, and let them alternate. fake it until you make it.
3. it may feel like a wave and emotional roller-coaster. remember you can be still whenever you choose by just returning to the breath.

Today I had another one of those moments "This is why I teach yoga".
New guy in class, at the end, after savasana, signed he was so chill and zen and relaxed, he could have just sat there for a while enjoying the feeling.
(Sadly, I do have to lock up the space after class, and cannot stay long).

After today odyssey of 2h drive to get to Brussels, the nice barbwire fences, then needing to take a detour on the walk back from my meeting (following part of the protest parcours and crossing the area where tear gas and flares had been shot), and some extra frustrations with projects and contractors, my body said no to gym so I did yoga.
After #hotyoga at https://myyogalinz.at i just put my mat on the pannier and affix it with an old tube.
BTW wanna lose two kilograms of weight in one hour? Try hot yoga.
(Disclaimer: it's only water, fat losses may vary and will only be noticeable after continuous practice)

Today I took a class exploring common poses. I haven't been able to bind extended side angle without shoulder pain for a while. Today it went, both sides, painless.
