Good morning everyone I'm doing Upstairs Ninja again today, but I had to get up earlier to sort out Ziggy's medicine as I had forgotten to do it before I went to bed and Grant isn't confident about sorting it himself Of course Ziggy heard me coming downstairs and raised the roof for a good wee while, so trying to go back to sleep for an hour was really futile. I did manage to doze off just about ten minutes before I had to wake right back up again which resulted in a bright vision-like dream of a shield with a shimmering ring of diamond lights around it. It looked so real that I tried to reach out and touch it and that's how I woke up

I have to go to the hospital for an appointment this morning and already have three meetings lined up before I go, so I'd best get started with work.

Good morning you lovely lot I'm playing Upstairs Ninja again this morning as Grant and the parrots snooze There wasn't too much indignant shouting from Madame Ziggy earlier, and only one loud squawk from Toby, who used to squawk all the time when Grant was cleaning them, so it looks like they have Grant well trained now

I'm just about to open up the laptop, and after being off ill for a week it will no doubt be crammed with emails for me to look at, so I'm going to get right into that.

Good morning Fellow Travellers around the Sun It's a little colder again this morning, but I am all warmed up from a very long cuddle session with Ziggy, who after being a nippy little grump last night, is now in a brilliant, happy mood again. This is the time when the hormones rage and my parrots, just like teenagers, can be moody little buggers. Unlike human teenagers they can't yell "I hate you!" and storm off, so they tend to bite you instead. The lady at World of Wings said she was more scared of handling parrots than birds of prey and I can understand why. The girls are moody anyway. Toby is his normal placid self at present. I heard him making his Clanger noises in the darkness this morning when I came downstairs - he's really funny

Good morning Fellow Travellers on the Galactic Spiral Arm I'm up with the parrots this morning again after a test run of going out for a bit yesterday. I was pooped soupy by evening again, but I made sure I went to bed really early and that seems to have helped. Just as well, as Madame Ziggy is being a bossy boots today , ordering me around all over the place , and then had the audacity to inform me that she is a "Good Boo Boo" Zigs only ever uses "Boo Boo" to refer to herself, and this because when I asked her "Are you my Baby, Baby?" she would respond with "I Boo Boo", and so "Boo Boo" she is

Another easy day on the cards. I have some fresh chop to make and then I'm planning to do some crochet, but only stuff that doesn't require too much concentration as it takes ages to get the old brain back in gear after an mefcs crash. Thinking is tiring!

Good Moo everyone! I am finally back up with the parrots in an attempt to try to ease back into my normal routine and give poor Grant a break and a long lie as he's been running around like a dafty looking after me and the Crew since my recent mecfs crash. I may need to go back to bed in a bit, but for now I managed the spoons to clean and feed them all at least, and cuddle Ziggy of course I have so missed my morning Ziggy cuddles! And I think she has too, because she sat with me for ages, just tucked up under my chin, grumbling away to herself.

So another day of not doing much on the cards, frustrating, but necessary to recover. A new crochet order came in last night and I have the competition toy to work on, but I'll have to hold off for another day or two as much as my very essence is screaming at me to get on with it. And all of this due to a broken loo!

Good morning everyone I have just woken up after another day of very low spoons yesterday. I've made an effort to come downstairs as I was missing my parrots. I actually had a dream in which I had gone shopping with Ziggy, who was being so very cute, and we met up with another lady and her boyfriend who were doing parrot displays. Later I found them both on stretchers after some kind of accident and tried to find sticky notes so I could give them my number in case they needed my help. And all the time Zigs was being adorable...so I definitely had to come and see her after that

Grant has been doing a good job of looking after me so he's on a well deserved birding walk this morning and a glorious day for it too. I do miss walking. With the river and the forest there are so many good walks around here. Today though, I will continue to take it very easy.

The return of the sunbirds

For years, I was fortunate enough to watch sunbird couples hatch their chicks right at my balcony. They've returned this year.
