Cazimodo CreativeGood Moo everyone! 😁 I am finally back up with the parrots in an attempt to try to ease back into my normal routine and give poor Grant a break and a long lie as he's been running around like a dafty looking after me and the Crew since my recent mecfs crash. I may need to go back to bed in a bit, but for now I managed the spoons to clean and feed them all at least, and cuddle Ziggy of course 😊 I have so missed my morning Ziggy cuddles! And I think she has too, because she sat with me for ages, just tucked up under my chin, grumbling away to herself.So another day of not doing much on the cards, frustrating, but necessary to recover. A new crochet order came in last night and I have the competition toy to work on, but I'll have to hold off for another day or two as much as my very essence is screaming at me to get on with it. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning everyone 🌞 I have just woken up after another day of very low spoons yesterday. I've made an effort to come downstairs as I was missing my parrots. I actually had a dream in which I had gone shopping with Ziggy, who was being so very cute, and we met up with another lady and her boyfriend who were doing parrot displays. Later I found them both on stretchers after some kind of accident and tried to find sticky notes so I could give them my number in case they needed my help. And all the time Zigs was being adorable...so I definitely had to come and see her after that 😊Grant has been doing a good job of looking after me so he's on a well deserved birding walk this morning and a glorious day for it too. I do miss walking. With the river and the forest there are so many good walks around here. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning Fellow Travellers on the Galactic Spiral Arm 🌌 I'm up late today as Grant is going out on an RSBP work party and got up for the parrots, and a lovely day he has for it too. Coffee has been poured so now I'm settling in with the Crew to wake myself up and listen to some Classic FM Calm. After the initial excitement of morning greetings, Ziggy is back under her preening arch grumbling away and Jadie is playing with her toys, but Toby has started randomly screeching again so my visit may be cut short. Eclectus screaming before one is even awake is no fun! 🫣Remember I had that dream about my toilet being broken? Well yesterday it did actually break. So now I do need to get a plumber out. Maybe I should also set up Madame Caz's tent with a crystal ball while I'm at it 😂More crochet today. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning you lovely lot 💕 I was cleaning Jadie's cage earlier and saw a subtle movement under the tray and jumped with fright as I thought it was a mouse, only to find it was my own slippered foot that I had wiggled...if you're wondering how my day is going 😂 I had the briefest of cuddles with a very hungry Ziggy who was saying "Come! Come!" the moment I took her out of her cage. She did give me a very brief preen, but food was her main focus. She is now tucked up under her preening arch as full as a tick, grumbling away with contentment. Fresh chop to make this morning and I need to get some chickpeas soaking so I can cook them over the weekend and make parrot hummus. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning you lovely lot 💕 Late rise for me today as Grant got up for the parrots. Just as well as I spent some time gaming last night and went way past my normal bedtime. I played some BG3, but mostly I was back in Ferelden again with a newly rolled character and some new mods to try. I know, I can't help myself 😂I'm sitting with the parrots now as I drink my coffee. It's all calm after the initial excitement of them greeting me - something I always love to experience, although Toby's screeching can be a bit brain shattering first thing 😊 Ziggy is now at the back of her cage grumbling, which means she is chewing her plastic links, Jadie is tucked in to her little blanket and beak crunching and Toby is in his food bowl again trying to find something he hasn't beaten yet. I have, however, managed to successfully Downstairs Ninja and grab my coffee without so much as a peep from the living room so I must be getting rather good at this 😊 I just heard Toby moving around his cage, so he must have clocked the light in the kitchen, but the fact that he's not raising the roof means he doesn't know I'm here.I had a little time to game yesterday evening due to getting up a bit later and yes, I did indeed start yet another DAO campaign 😂 I found some new mods to try out and well..I just can't help myself. I'm going to be playing BG3 again over the weekend and am thoroughly enjoying it, but I really do need my DAO fix it seems 😊Work now though. Ziggy was particularly cuddly this morning and wanted to sit on my head when we went through to the kitchen to get her medication. It usually means she's uncertain about something as she does it for security - the highest perch and all that - but I couldn't see what was making her nervous. Ghosts again probably 😊 I started to look for closed in TV cabinets as we still haven't figured out a way to stop Toby trying to get behind the telly, but boy oh boy are they expensive! I think a shooftie around the charity shops might be in order.Work today again. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning everyone 🌞 I'm up early for the parrots again today, and again this morning had only the briefest of cuddles with a very hungry wee parrot who was determined to get to her breakfast as quickly as possible. She did, however, cuddle into my neck as I walked her to her cage and then turned to me and said "I love you!" in her sweet little voice, so my day has been made ☺️ Grant's mum and sister came round yesterday evening to wish him a happy birthday just after the parrots had been set to roost and Zigs was very unhappy about visitors - going down to the bottom of her cage where the blackout cover doesn't reach to peer out and give us what for! We had to move everyone through to the kitchen to appease the little Madame. We are well and truly parrot slaves! 😂Gaming day for me today. I'm up early with the parrots today as it's Grant's birthday and he gets to have a long lie after all the excitement at World of Wings yesterday 😊 I had a very brief , all of five minutes, cuddle with Ziggy this morning and then she was obviously too hungry to bother so demanded to go in for breakfast. I get that. I'm quite peckish too this morning truth be told 😁Grant had a fabulous time yesterday as you can see by the photo of him with his new pal Zulu, the Bateleur Eagle. In addition to giving a large eagle head scritches, he got to handle a tawny owl, a peregrine falcon and a red tailed buzzard and also fly a barn owl called Ghost. He was in his element 😊 I'll be announcing the winner of the <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/CazimodoCrochet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#CazimodoCrochet</a> competition later today, so keep an eye out for that. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning everyone 🌞 I slept a bit later as Grant got up for the parrots today, but we are off out early this morning, so I have had to get up and disturb the peace of the living room. Grant is still trying to doze on the couch now that the uproar from the Crew at my arrival has settled down a bit, with just the occasional clicks from Toby and "Wisha wish" from Jadie. Ziggy is back to grumbling away beneath her preening arch, content that we've said "Good Moo!" to one another ☺️We're off to World of Wings today for Grant's birthday treat of a Bird of Prey experience that I got for him last year and he wasn't able to use until now. Then we're going to his Mum's for lunch, so it's a full on day. A break from BG3 is probably a good thing as I spent 2 hrs on just one battle yesterday. We won, but boy was it tough! Very satisfying though...and addictive! Cazimodo CreativeGood morning Fellow Travellers on Spaceship Earth 🌍 I am up early with the parrots today and after cleaning, feeding and cuddles am doing some parrot shopping online. I need to get some more F10 disinfectant, cage liner paper and pellets, but I also end up spending ages looking at parrot toys and trying to find something new for each of them to play with. They are all different when it comes to toys - Ziggy likes plastic links and things she can preen while Jadie loves toys that hang down and have small balls and things on them that she can chew and mouth. Toby loves shredding paper and toys that look like a TV remote...always the obsession with the telly with that boy! 😂 Fresh chop to make again this morning and then I am going to do some more gaming. I'm playing BG3 on balanced and combat is tough, but thoroughly enjoyable. Cazimodo CreativeGood morning everyone ☀️ I'm up later today as Grant got up for the parrots again and I stayed up a bit later than usual last night gaming. We are all in the living room now with Classic FM Calm on, Ziggy making little grumbles as she tucks into her preening arch, Jadie mouthing her toys, Toby making the occasional clicks and Grant still dozing on the couch. I have coffee. All is good in my little Sunday morning world ☺️We are going out later for a joint birthday lunch for Grant and his Mum with my daughter and the grandsons, so I will need to prepare parrot lunch a little earlier before we go. Maybe another coffee before then though 😊I finished DAO yesterday, and started BG3 finally. I'm enjoying it, but combat definitely takes some getting used to...and I miss my DAO party already.
