Dieser Kleiber hat sich mal recht brav fotografieren lassen

This nuthatch was quite cooperative, making it easy to take pictures

Kleiber sitzt auf dickem, horizontalen Ast mit relativ glatter, grün-grau-brauner Rinde. Das Bokeh ist hellbraun mit dunkleren Flecken.
Der Kleiber sitzt links der Mitte und schaut in die rechte obere Bildecke. Er wird teilweise von einem kleineren, unscharf abgebildeten Ast im Vordergrund verdeckt.

Kleiber sitzt auf einem Abgebrochenen Ende eines dicken Astes. Man sieht das frische, noch unverwitterte Holz der Bruchstelle des Astes, der von unten rechts nach links oben bis zur Bildmitte reicht. Den Kleiber sieht man von der Seite und er blickt Richtung der linken oberen Bildecke.
Das Bokeh ist hellbraun mit dunkleren, grünen und schwarzen Bereichen, die den Hang mit trockenem Laub am Boden und Büschen im Hintergrund erahnen lassen.

A pair of relatively big birds sitting in the deep green grass, on the edge of a cliff. There is dark blue water below them with another bird flying, not really in focus. The sitting birds are generally white, have long bills, and blue eyes contrasting with slightly yellow heads. It seems they were photographed from a short distance.

I was looking over the Potomac when a Great Egret flew in. I don't want to be *that guy*, but yes I know it's still early and I'm sure it was not one of the 15 or so Great Blue Herons down the river, plus I did already see two Great Egrets back in early February and that sighting was later confirmed by the Guru himself. I took a blurry picture of it flying. I did have better luck with the butter butts, however. #birding

Lavandera blanca andando encima de una piedra. En el fondo, difuminado se ven flores de diente de león. El ave mira hacia la izquierda y muestra la cara blanca, con el ojo negro, la barbilla negra y una franja también negra desde la cabeza hasta el cuello en la parte posterior. Las alas son grises con líneas negras al final y el cuerpo blanco. Tiene una pata levantada y otra posada, las dos negras y largas. La cola es especialmente larga.

I did an hour ramble in The Ramble (NYC's Central Park) before meeting up with a friend at the American Museum of Natural History, today. I also met up with this amazingly placid Wood Duck hanging out with HIS friends, some Mallards.

Tiny Titan of the Forest

This morning, I spotted a tufted titmouse (Baeolophus bicolor). I'm not sure how many of these delightful little birds are around during the mornings, but sometimes I see several. Since they are not sexually dimorphic, distinguishing between males and females is something I haven't been able to do.

Tufted titmice are a favorite among a select group of bird enthusiasts. To celebrate these charming creatures, I’ve curated a special collection dedicated entirely to them in my photo gallery. Take a look!
