How to make a White Russian like a former #Mormon (with apologies for US non-metric measurements)
I assume none of this is unknown or fancy, but this is how I've come to like White Russians. I find them yum.

Made black bean and quinoa burgers from scratch after work today with pure intuition and improvisation as a strategy to occupy my anxious mind, and it seems like it worked.
They didn't turn out too bad to boot, either. Got the husband's approval, too. They were sensationally delicious and satisfying, with the predictable problem of structural integrity. There's likely no shortcut...I'd need to make them and form them with the addition of cornmeal after the beans and quinoa are cooked, then chilled, making it a whole day affair. But for a quick 1.5 hours of work, they probably couldn't've turned out much better.
Need to do laundry soon, but otherwise, I'm going to have (only one) drink too many tonight after my coffee, and should be more than prepared to face the next few days of pseudo-vacation travel.
Finally got taxes dropped off today. Looks like we'll owe significantly less this year?
Missed reporting the removal of the DNEIPA because of unrelated stress. Transfer / keg / bottle / condition all successful...final product is more amber than I'd like, probably because of some older grain...hazy light amber is just ugly. But it smells so damn good, and the balance appears spot-on. I want it in my body but it's still way too green. It'll probably take a while to get rid of acetaldehyde as I'm pushing the yeast's alcohol tolerance.
I'm otherwise my current usual (stressed / antisocial / miserable but surviving).
Leaving for San Diego for a scouting trip in less than a week. Hoping to find *something* in the context of that excursion that'll bring me a bit of genuine happiness.
Just a random product recommendation for wine fans: splurge on The Durand. The device has a stupid name and is expensive ($145), but it is capable of extracting corks that are almost disintegrated. You first use the spiral corker, then slide in the two-pronged puller. Super handy if you encounter old bottles of wine. I take it with me to BYOB restaurants so that I don't have to watch in horror as waiter corks the bottle with a standard device. #wine #cork #alcohol
Mh + (but only from a hedonist perspective)
Decided to both drink and toke this morning, because the world's ending why the fuck not, and I think I just hit the perfect alcohol-THC click. And you were here for it. Congratulations.

Crap. I drank tonight and have to be in front of students tomorrow.
But i think i got it. In a weird way, drinking constantly in my 20s was good preparation for drinking occasionally in my 40s.
Brew reviews, kind of long
What's the tiger been drinking lately? From left to right...
Deschutes NA Kernza golden lager: I'm a huge simp for the OG, and the NA version is easily the most full-flavored malt-focused beverage of its type I've had the pleasure to consume. The rye malt adds a lot of life, and while I'm not typically a fan of anything but the faintest hint of DMS, I've quickly come to the conclusion I actually kind of like a baseline of it in NA brews for added depth.
Sullivan's Maltings Irish ale: My choice for the recently passed St. Pat's Day was a great one. It's the absolute pinnacle of the Irish Red style.
Obolon Kyivske: I've never had Ukrainian beer before, and it's a great time to buy it. And what an experience it is...I've never had anything quite like it. With a heady iron aroma ahead of the malt, suggesting the use of Pride of Ringwood, it's a curious fusion of an Australian sparkling ale and with the ultralight body of a craft malt liquor...but it's a lager. Sweet, but with enough hops to avoid being cloying, and malt character with some depth. It's dangerously drinkable at 8.6%...I'm glad I chose this over the Extra 12% version beside it, because it comes in half-liter cans. Yeah, probably not going to tempt myself to consume something that alcoholic that if it is as more-ish as this one. ^^;
The really interesting thing in this piece about how drinking alcohol causes cancer is just how much the scientists and writer don't want it to be true...
Starting a stupid little homebrew for my stupid little mental health. Haven't done so in *months*, last attempt was that failed Dubbel I attempted. So of course, I'm doing a DNEIPA for a departing colleague, something I've only attempted once without complete success.
Fortunately, despite my rust, things went off without a hitch today. Well, maybe save for the fact that my hop processing now has the entire place smelling like pot. Not an aroma tiger cares for in any appreciable concentration. Strata hops, guh...the final product should be worth it, though!
(I do this before mashing, long story involving a non-traditional setup, quite a bit of math, and slightly hand-wavy timing.)
BBC: The Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO), one of the largest buyers of alcohol in the world, removed US-made alcoholic drinks from its shelves on Tuesday.

I may not have as much time for creativity as I'd like, but it'll be a cold day in hell before I stop drawing stupid-yet-lewd ideas I get from random photos and memes lol #nsfw #goblin #female #alcohol #breasts #bigbreasts #clothed #exposure #ass #asshole #showingoff #presenting #drunk
