Browser Estremi: #Brave (privacy-by-default) e #Librewolf (zero tracciamento).
Browser Tradizionali: #Vivaldi (VPN gratis, multipiattaforma) e #Waterfox (fork di firefox indipendente).

Zorin OS 17.3 Release Replaces Firefox With Brave as Default Browser
—@itsfoss
「 We start off with Brave being the new default web browser on Zorin OS, marking a move away from Firefox. The developers did this citing concerns with a recent policy change by Mozilla, where they felt that Firefox no longer aligned with their values of protecting user privacy 」
I'm not convinced, that integrating #Brave instead of #Firefox into #Zorin OS 17.3 is the best move. Even though they chose to hide most of the browser’s problematic features (e.g., Brave Wallet, Brave Rewards, Leo AI, Brave Talk, Brave News, Brave’s sponsored background images, etc).

Just found by accident a great keyboard shortcut in the Brave browser, firefox & IceCat.
Ctrl-Shift+Del will open the "delete browsing data" dialog.
Never knew this before (I'm sure others did) but it's really cool!
@mike Brave?! Really... Fcking really zorin?
I have Zorin on my team's workstations... No way #Brave is going to be used on those.
For anyone who needs a refresher on why brave is bad:

it’s annoying that Bing search is blocking my generic vpn for some reason. No other site seems to have an issue with it. Eh. Oh well. Just airing grievances. Probably will get me to use brave search more frequently like I should be doing anyway.
bin gerade weg von #Brave (#Chromium), aber nicht zurück zu #FireFox sondern zu #LibreWolf - erst mal ok...
Imagine being a wealthy CEO who spends his time claiming women belong in the kitchen and should not have control of their own bodies. Or that same CEO claiming black lives do not matter. That same CEO claiming love is only love between a man and woman. That same CEO saying, both LGBTQ+ and trans folk suffer from mental illness. Furthermore, claiming that COVID was a hoax, vaccines kill people, and is a firm, Donald Trump supporter.
You probably think, I am talking about Elon Musk, and you likely support the idea of Tesla going bankrupt, as not to support a Nazi. But who I am actually describing is Brendan Eich, the founder and CEO of Brave Browser, but when you tell people that is the case, people will argue "that is different".

We did not have #Brave clashing with Rupert Murdoch on our 2025 bingo card, but there it is

Mind you, this still isn't a good excuse to use a Chromium-based browser.
And for all you people using Brave out there, well
Brave is run by this guy [en.wikipedia.org] who hates queer people and believes conspiracy theories about Covid, so maybe don't use his shitty browser that's been caught injecting affiliate links [www.pcmag.com].
Well… This happened. I’m giving @brave a shot as my default browser. I’ve disabled BAT (until Brave themselves accept BAT as a payment method) and opted-out out of sponsored wallpapers (until Brave stop promoting NFTs and high-risk projects).
I've been using #Brave and #DuckDuckGo in preference to #Firefox for a few years because FF wasn't performant for the number of tabs I like open, even on desktop, and terrible for some sites on my cheap mobile.
But now it is time for me to uninstall, and I'm looking for an alt to #Thunderbird too which I've used for longer than I remember.
Well done #Mozilla.
