I'm like thank *goodness* #Firefox still has the hit-alt-to-show-regular-menus feature.
I don't *entirely* hate the fact that browser UIs are getting more and more "minimalistic" (or in case of Firefox, UI only takes up as much space as all of my pro user junk needs), but the fact that it's fashionable for windows to no longer have title bars makes the basic functionality of windows kind of limited. Can't *move* the bloody things.
But at least when I hit alt I still get something to grab upon and move the window. Yay!
Hardening the #Firefox Frontend with Content Security Policies
Time for this week's #Linux and #OpenSource News video!
This week, we have #Firefox adding experimental AI tools to their nightly builds, #Wayland gaining window position and size restore capabilities, the Framework 12 going on preorder (even in the US after some tariffs shenanigans), and some leaks about #Valve's new VR headet:
how many times has Mozilla tried to force AI into their privacy-conscious and by extension, AI-hating audience now? Feels like three or four at this rate, lol
The good news is that #Firefox now has a new tab peeking/glancing view.
The bad news is instead of stealing it from the Firefox-based Zen Browser, or even just copying what Safari does, they just used generative AI to summarise the page.

Glad to see #Rob from #FPF brings up #Kobler's #contextualads solution as a viable alternative to #RTB and #SurveillanceAdvertising.
Also makes a super important point about mandatory #DoNotTrack signals in browsers.
IMO this is what #Mozilla should be working towards, not making #Firefox as a data collection platform.
Firefox's new experimental AI feature looks like it could work.
Cool, Fennec is interested in #UnifiedPush support [1]
We will probably have it on Fennec before it gets upstream (if it does ).
That means UnifiedPush will be available for "installable web applications". So we'll have push notifications with some new apps !

@ryanleesipes and AFAIK #Mozilla only has the #Trademark for #Thunderbird and @thunderbird is being granted useage for no fee...
After all, that"s certainly better re: #privacy and way better than "yet another #Chromium fork" like #BraveBrowser ...
While cleaning out my migration directory, i've found out that i can delete stuff from within the #Filelight app - via context click menu!
I'm very happy, having finally switched to #KDE / #KDEneon - i've endured the continuing UX downgrades of #Ubuntu #Gnome for far too long!
I can even see the actively developed improvements in KDE; e.g. when i detach a #Firefox tab, from a maximised window and drag it onto another monitor - it's maximised as well, now!
