Augenblicke.

Nahaufnahme eines (männlichen) Buntspechts, der, halb verborgen hinter dem Stamm des Glockenbaums, mit dem rechten Auge und dem Schnabel hinter dem Baum hervorschaut und Richtung Futterhaus blickt. Der Fokus lag für mich darauf, diesen Blick einzufangen. Der Hintergrund ist dunkelgrün mit einigen Lichtreflexionen.

Der zweite Augenblick kommt von einer männlichen Amsel, die sich in einer der Astgabeln des Glockenbaums befindet. Auch hier wieder der Fokus auf dem rechten, gelbumringten Auge.

Herr Specht mag seinen Baum sehr.

Buntspecht (auch hier handelt es sich wieder um ein Männchen) schmiegt sich an einen sehr kräfigen Ast des Trompetenbaums. Wir sehen den Specht von der linken Seite, die rechte Wange an den Baum gelehnt, schaut er in die Kamera. Die rauhe, unebene Baumrinde ist ein idealer Kratzbaum. Die Sonne scheint, die Farben leuchten.

The Magellanic woodpecker is a large woodpecker found in southern Chile and southwestern Argentina. This species is mainly pure black, with a white wing patch and a grey, chisel-like beak. Males have a crimson head and crest.

The Magellanic woodpecker (Campephilus magellanicus) is a species of large woodpecker found in southern Chile and southwestern Argentina; it is the southernmost example of the genus Campephilus, which includes the famous ivory-billed woodpecker. This species is mainly pure black, with a white wing patch and a grey, chisel-like beak. Males have a crimson head and crest. Despite what appeared to be abundant natural materials in the nearby woods, we found it pecking away at some wood siding on a building where its reflection was clear in the adjacent window.

Acorn Woodpecker tries to fit just one more into a sign post. In Acorn Woody territory, any hollow object might become a granary. Walls, attics, barbecues and cars are sometimes found filled with acorns.
