This is worth having on hand. People use the left-hand column too often (first group of text in alt text) when the right column is reality (second group of text in alt text).

I rarely get triggered these days, but when I do it pushes me to a near meltdown.

pop psychology: Gaslighting is when someone lies to you or tries to convince you that you're wrong. Being triggered means that something makes you uncomfortable or annoyed. People who are rude, mean, or self- centered are narcissists. Anything that hurts you is trauma. actual psychology: Gaslighting is an elaborate strategy where you are manipulated to question your reality, memory, or sanity - not just a disagreement over what happened. A trigger is something that causes a sudden increase in symptoms - like flashbacks in PTSD or compulsions in OCD. A 'trigger is not just a source of general discomfort. Everyone has some narcissistic traits, and many people are unpleasant or ab*sive without being narcissists. Narcissistic personality disorder is a clinical diagnosis, and it doesn't always lead to ab*sive behavior. Anything that overwhelms your ability to cope can be traumatic. Trauma has long- lasting impacts and it goes beyond ordinary adversity. Something being hurtful isn't automatically trauma.

Now this is the shit that really makes my blood boil. Claiming that gay people are creating "negative stigma" on themselves by being too openly gay. That's not a stigma, IT'S CALLED HATE SPEECH!

If those things no longer occur, im sure the negative stigmas will start to diffuse Ned Yeung Trey Tamaki You just don't get it. The only thing being "pushed" here is the erasure of already marginalized people. All you listed were excuses why you believe they should not be allowed to have a voice. But that's not divisive? Bullshit. There is no "negative stigma" about being gay. The term is called HATE SPEECH.
