🧶🧶🧶 Yay! The Mom Crème Anglaise sweater is at last done, delivered and mom-approved!

I learned so much making this. Lots of frogging back, switching yarns, switching patterns also. Settled on Valley Yarns Charlemont fingering and Cascade Baby Alpaca lace held together - dream combo. I love how the silk helps give the other fibers and the garment structure. Hooray, a #FO!

Spinning Frigg Vintage Fairytale Pin: A beautiful vintage brass pin of a woman with her distaff and spinning wheel. Pin measures just over 1 3/4" (4.5cm) wide. 

Frigg is the Norse Goddess of spinning-- it is said that she spun the clouds and you can see her spinning wheel in the sky as the constellation known as Orion's Belt.

March finished in the Secret-Stash-Busting sock along, just waiting till I get my new blockers...lol.

No pattern used. I just added a few cables.

Yarn is Wollbiene - Crazy Cotton, these will be bed socks for winter. Never used it before, not sure I like it.

🧶🧶🧶 Hello #Knitterati! A new project, after Mom's sweater was finally completed...

Meet my new #WIP - #TheAspenWrap. This wrap (made one 15+ years ago, in storage now) was a fave. Cables grip the shoulders, and moss stitch part drapes nicely, longer than it might seem from these pix.

This gorgeous wool is from Norway, generously gifted to me. Have been waiting for the perfect match for it. I think this may be it!

🧶🧶🧶 Finally dove into last task from #FallFinishOrFrogAlong... is that the right name?

Anyway DEEPLY have wanted to organize my stash so can easily find things in my disabled state. Also, select new projects by starting with yarn vs pattern. Be super-clear about yardages on hand, etc. etc.

It is slow, repetitive work, but I'm finding myself in a chill meditative state, so it's all good! So happy I'm doing this! 😊

🧶🧶🧶 I did it I did it I did it!!!

At long last, Mom's sweater went from being a #WIP to a #FO. Just needs a quick bath in conditioning wool wash, and softly blocked on some towels.

Its the Crème Anglaise sweater, which I modified to have the lace bands run all the way down body and sleeves. This is my CNA Ebony modeling. Can't wait to see it on my mom!

🧶🧶🧶 Another official #FO! Finished the knitting on this last August, but just blocked it, sewed in ends, and repaired a drop stitch section in the lace.

This was a fun #MKAL... Design by Rosemary (Romi) Hill, called Way Leads On To Way. I greatly endorse her MKALs, always a good experience, always learn something new. The two I've done, anyway!

🧶🧶🧶 Oh happy day! Finally finished frogging back to massive dropped stitch hole in sleeve of Mom's sweater. Because of that + 9 days in hospital w flu type A + pneumonia, been stuck on Sleeve Island for a few weeks.

Imagine my delight when I started to knit forward, and just now realized I've already almost finished the 2nd sleeve! Decrease markers were rolled inside, so not visible. So happy!
