A Spirit Airlines plane was hit by gunfire while trying to land in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, the company says. A flight attendant was injured and the flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was diverted to the Dominican Republic, where an inspection showed damage consistent with gunfire.
