Yosemite Falls Winter Fury Yosemite National Park
This scene captures the raw power and majestic beauty of one of America’s most iconic waterfalls in the heart of winter. Towering above the snow-covered valley, Yosemite Falls roars with untamed energy as icy winds whip through the granite cliffs.

I've only been #hiking on Wind Mountain a couple times, as i usually just pass it on the way to Dog Mountain. Famous for its pits arranged in the talus field that covers the top of the mountain. Supposedly the locals for at least, roughly, a thousand years used them so young warriors would get some guidance for what they should be doing with their lives, something probably most people these days also need.
My friend sent me this today from an amazing snowshoe camping trip we took in 2016.
MECFS has altered my life in such a massive way that I'm sometimes at a loss for words. I would have easily hiked 80-100km in a weekend in spite of some heavy fibromyalgia symptoms back then. Now I'm happy when i can make it around the block.
That being said, I'm not the only one. I have another friend in this photo with a degenerative disorder, and I was worried my hiking buddies would disappear when i got sick and came out as trans. But they are still here and I know how rare that is.
I miss the alpine, I miss the plants, I miss the peace and the beautiful reset it gave my audhd each time, i miss the bonding with my friends, but this photo reminds me that you have to love each moment to its fullest because you never know what's right around the corner and I'm so glad I did.
I've just performed major surgery on stage 4 of the GR 249 (Gran Senda de Málaga). The inland route from Torrox to Nerja shown in OSM until today was correct when it was mapped. But at some point the powers-that-be completely revised the route to follow the coast.
I don't know why they chose to do this. The route is shorter and flatter now, but it duplicates the existing Senda Litoral, and includes some walking on the shoulder of a busy road.
The ocean is never the same twice—just like life, it changes with every tide, every sunrise, every storm.

La Cloche Silhouette Trail, Killarney Provincial Park, Ontario.
Gentle giants.
That's what the mountains were, encircling the cool, clear alpine lake like sentinels, guarding over the silence and the peace.
Imposing yet protective. Majestic yet friendly. Timeless, patient, and strong.
