Hey, seems like it's time for the twelfth track of 2025.

This started as ambient, and could have stayed beatless. Then it took an unexpected dub-flavored acid detour, and ended up closer to post-rock territories.

It's noisy, it's glitchy, but also rather warm. Possibly happy, I don't know. But was enjoyable to make.

At some point, something went awry with this one. I switched gear again and didn't check if my patterns had the same length as before. Turns out they were quite a bit longer, and that's why this piece is almost twice the usual time. No wonder it felt harder to add variations...

I'm still quite happy with this bizarre drum n bass infused IDM thing. It's all wrong yet kind of right somehow.

It smells like spring in my little corner of the planet. And here's the tenth track of 2025.

It has little to do with spring though. Or does it? It's techno for sure, and it's energetic enough to not feel like winter, I suppose.

I didn't know where I was going when I started this project, and I still don't, but it's a excellent exercise.

More importantly, I'm having fun. I hope you're having fun too :)

It doesn't have a hard grammar as it's intended to be used contextually and only uses time and descriptors in half sentenves when unavoidable for understanding...

@eri I think #TokiPona even has some actual advantages (abeit not it's own script) in that it's a simple languague that in theory has the merit of being more accessible to people with severe learning disabilities and speech impedements or difficulties with languagues.

• Granted the biggest downside is the fact that there are very, very few speakers which misses the point of a languague.

But I do think that Toki Pona deserves more attention and adoption, even tho it's simplicity is also a great weakpoint as it makes it hard (if not almost impossible) to formulate complex technical or legal texts in it or even translate these into Toki Pona...

• Some people may say that this is inherent given the fact that complexity is antithetical to said languague but I think that's cutting it way too short...

Now we're wandering on the side of dub techno, or at least close to something that may remind of dub techno.

There's plenty of delay and reverb for sure, but don't expect minimalist ethereal textures here. The bass isn't exactly subtle, and it's probably more techno than dub.

But my parrot was nodding along, so... it's parrot-approved.
