Never quite clicked with the Bastl MIDI Looper before. I've had it a couple of years and it's incidental features, such as this sort of ambient humanise have kept it around the studio, but today it has really shone. I suspect some of the pad synths will need to be tactically assigned to different MIDI channels to get the most out of this guy.

I'm a London-born musician, writer, artist and teacher living in Vienna. Most of my posts here are about #studio technology, #retrocomputing devices, #kpop and other diverse interests. I don't really have a brand to sell, but broadly I appreciate the #LGBTQ, leftist/anarchist and practical ethos that seems to thrive on Mastodon.

Also, I'm very happy that we had enough funding to get a nice mixer for the monitor room in the next room over.

A desk with two iMacs, a focusrite audio interface, a studio monitor, and a 16 channel mixer.

The school where I work is building a small recording studio and I got some nice work done on that today! It's still got a ways to go but just over winter break, this was a storage room full of books and random junk.

A white room with a gray rug on the floor, seven microphones connected to a snake, a monitor speaker, bass traps in the corners, and a shelf full of cables.

Détail de conception du #studio :
- double vitrage avec les vitres non parallèles, ça évite les échos directes et les résonances
- pièces non rectangulaires voir triangulaire, toujours pour casser les échos parasites
- portes doublées pour une isolation phonique maximale
- chaque box possède sa console qui permet de se faire un mix personnalisé : volume des autres instruments, l'égalisation, mise en sourdine, réglage de la reverb. Branché via un câble rj45 (nouveaux standard numériques).
