#ScribesAndMakers 3.5 — If you have family living with you, what do they think about your creative work?
This is a sensitive topic for me. Some of my family love it (and that goes for everything I mentioned in my previous post in the thread), and some think it's a silly hobby, just being a creative person. #DnD / #DungeonsAndDragons and other #TTRPG stuff isn't silly. It keeps me sane, same as my novels, fanfiction, or my podcast. None of it's silly. Let people enjoy what they want.
My girlfriend, however, is a very supportive individual. She's wonderful. We both write. My mother loves my writing as well. So did my dad when he was here with me. I lost him back in 2016.
As for my podcast, gosh... My family LOVE it. I'm so thankful for that. With that being said, though, there are some family members that I don't want listening. It's tough being a paranormal podcaster, and one with a show that has a huge following now as well. People will either be fascinated and love it, or they'll call you "bonkers" and avoid you like the plague. Being a medium's a tough lot in life. I don't go around telling everyone in my family that I have a podcast.
But on the whole, being a writer and all that, my family are supportive.
