I've added more species and characters to the biscuit matrix. Now we're getting somewhere, one single most parsimonious tree...

The whole point of this is to classify Jaffa Cakes - are they cakes or biscuits? In this analysis they join fig rolls in a small Pseudo-biscuit group between cakes and true biscuits.

Of course, this is all based on just morphological data so far. It all needs to be verified with molecular data (ingredients).

I'm running cladistic analyses of biscuits again. I haven't done this since Smith (2005) in the Journal of Unlikely Science.

The only thing I sometimes get a hankering for since going #vegan is #JaffaCakes
