"beat" mobile suit #gundam seed destiny for the first time. used athrun and found it pretty enjoyable. got some credits. I still have no idea what's what in the store. I wish there were an English version and I don't know why battle assault was changed to use codes and remove the store and some suits. #gba #retrogaming

My third custom painted #gunpla -- MG 1/100 MS-09H Dwadge Custom (as seen in the animated series Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, piloted by Desert Rommel).

The full piece is titled "WAR READY". It is my first diorama and my first time using add on parts and epoxy putty to add detail, as well as creating foliage and rock effects. Completed as a part of the 2024 #CeruleanProject

Here is a full view of the Dwadge mobile suit sitting on its platform. I imagined that it would have just been firing up after many long years of dormancy. In the tv show, Desert Rommel waited in the north west of Africa for 8 years after the conclusion of the One Year War before getting a chance to fight the Zeta Gundam.

This was inspired by the manga artist Kazuhisa Kondo, who frequently used Zimmerit and other WWII era imagery in his illustrations of mobile suits.
A top-down view of the front of the Dwadge, showing the shading on the Head Hawk blade to give it a superheated effect. There is also a good view of the red paint coat which I think is one of the best parts.

Since perfect is the enemy of done, I'm declaring these good enough to return to the Sengoku Astray! Paint is Testors Chevy Engine Red and Tamiya XF-16 Flat Aluminum, X-12 Gold Leaf, and XF-56 Metallic Gray, all acrylic.
