collab! I’m very grateful to have been given the chance to paint handholding, even though all my hands are mittens. Painted with limited palette of two thematically appropriate gansai pans, and I had a lovely time doing it. Do check out the whole project, it’s splendid!

Oh, to have a little place of one’s own, with one’s love to pass the time with on repairing things and tending the garden and getting up to all manner of shenanigans, hijinks, and maybe even a little tomfoolery as a treat. There’s a bumper crop of strawberries down in the garden right now, and any that aren’t eaten for lunch will become preserves to brighten their morning tea and toast for many months to come.

No, I will not ever learn not to add shelves and shelves and shelves of little books into the background of my paintings. But in my defense, look at how peaceful these guys are among all these assembled tomes. Indeed, the illustrious @deniz_b turned this into a wonderful short story (set in Orkney! With bags of whimsy!) called The Booklovers ️

Well, I’m still suffering under this horrible illness, so the Stream Ink January Cozy Recovery prompt month seems like just what the doctor ordered. Here’s the dear gnome ghusbands snuggled down in their nightgowns with a nice hot cup of acorn coffee before bed, for the first prompt, hot beverage.

Telling people I have a shop makes my brain itch because I have a deeply rooted fear of being bothersome or annoying, but from time to time lovely people indicate they like and want to see and own my works, actually. As such, an advisory: if you’re in the UK and want to secure any goods ahead of the holiday, don’t delay too much as I’ll need to shutter my shop while I’m away over the break!

I just wanted to paint these sweet fellows in some hot 12th century looks, as you do, so I did. I’d like to submit this as evidence that we should bring the bliaut back into fashion, yes?

I did these little fashion plates a few months ago, but there wasn’t a good time to post them together because wowee this lil painter got real busy. So here’s me remembering to share these two wearing a pair of fetching 18th century riding habits - such a good aesthetic, am I right?
