And the success rate is the highest or right up there. I think the arm implant is 1 pregnancy in 2000 couples over a year or two...? Unless that's the hormonal IUS.
ALSO THERE ARE DIFFERENT DOSES AND SIZES. If you're nulliparous (have never given birth) like me, GET THE SMALLEST, holy shit.
Why the flying fuck they bunged the massive Mirena in there, I've no fucking clue. Again: some people feel "mild discomfort" and other people do just feel some mild discomfort but not pain!
But yeah, even with the insertion pain, I'm getting an IUS again soon. It's just that damn convenient and reliable, I cannot lie.
Also missing are guidelines on #contraception & the diagnosis and prevention of #HIV & sexually transmitted infections, as well as #vaccine info sheets that doctors typically give to patients receiving the shots.

Given that men typically have a stronger sex drive than women, that women are sometimes coerced into sex, and that the consequences of sex fall predominantly on women, I can't fathom how removing a woman's control over her own fertility could ever be in her interest. That is not feminism.
It seems extraordinary that the #HeritageFoundation wants to withhold #contraception even from married couples. That's straight out of #RomanCatholic doctrine. I thought #Evangelicals approved of sex between husband and wife.
I'd like to see the US move to the UK model, where the #pill and several other forms of contraception are available without question and without charge to every woman or girl of childbearing age who asks for it.

First, abortion. Then, IVF. Now, conservative lawmakers are putting #contraception at risk
Some lawmakers say they support the right to contraception. But when they actually have a chance to protect it, they won’t.
Case in point: On June 5, 2024, Republican senators DEFEATED the Right to Contraception Act. They blocked the passage of a simple bill that would have protected Americans' right to basic birth control like the pill, Plan B, condoms, and IUDs.
But we have another path forward. A petition is being circulated around the House of Representatives that -- if they get enough signatures -- forces the Republican majority to bring the Right to Contraception Act to a vote in the House.
Ask your representative: Do they support the right to contraception? Will they sign the petition and stand up for our freedom to plan our families?
