Yesterday my media history master courses visited the "#Rechenwerk Halle" museum - a huge collection of #GDR computer hardware and software.

At first glance, "just another" keyboard for the Iskra Delta Triglav computer (celebrating 40 years this year – more on that soon!), but upon closer inspection, it turns out to be a high-quality DIY conversion into an upgraded ZX Spectrum! (With one small flaw – did you spot it?) A big thank you to the generous donor!

Home computers Oric Nova 64, Schneider CPC and Orao – less widespread and known, but each with a fascinating story behind it!

After over a year of continuous investigations, tests, measurements, repairs and absolutely active help from the USA, our #Kneisner #M100 is now booting #turboDOS from a floppy disk.
It still has a few quirks with its front panel. But the next step will be to try to boot it from D.Gesswein's MFM emulator from a known working HD image. To see whether the WD hard disk controller and the IMS controller card are still working properly.
The whole thing is now a "once in a lifetime" project for me. What I wasn't aware of until now is that the #IMSAI8080 will be 50 years old this year.

Action 52 for the NES promised a great deal: 52 games for $199, or less than $4 per game! However, anyone who bought it quickly realized that the games weren’t even worth that much. Some wouldn’t even start, or they crashed outright

The kiosk for validating health cards is alive! Although the screen is quite dim, the XP operating system is up and running.
