Chicago Coffee Shop Review (long)
Checking out "thrd." coffee today. Very odd vibes, but genuinely good coffee.
First time I came here I just grabbed something to-go, and I wasn't impressed by the baristas' coffee knowledge--they couldn't tell me anything about the roast or its origins. Same story today, really. Just told me that they could do a pour-over of anything they had on the shelf. Except the costa rica I picked, apparently lol.

Got a Myanmar pour-over from Greater Goods roastery. The pour-over itself is fantastic. Very tasty and smooth. Exaclty what I was hoping for. Nice presentation too! And under $6 which feels kinda insane.

Vibes in here are Odd. Space feels both under-utilized and a little cluttered all at once. Tables are nice and big, chairs comfy enough. They've got little "here are our house rules!" signs taped up on the walls near every seat which is odd.

For a place named after 3rd-Wave Coffee, it mostly hits the marks

Boycotts in Malaysia have caused Starbucks a net loss of 70.3 million ringgit ($15.9M) for the 6-month period that ended in December. Some customers have accused the coffee chain of not doing enough to pressure Israel to end its fighting in Gaza.

If I were to run a #CoffeeShop and #MusicLicensing wasn't such an expensive shitshow, I'd propably put this on loop...
Barista Android
These popular variants of the service industry android worked for many popular coffee shop chains. They were exceptionally knowledgeable about the varieties of coffee, tea and pastries, masters at an espresso bar machine, and maintained a friendly, customer focused disposition even when overworked and the lineup was out the shop’s door.
