So I was trying surround sound playback on the AAC Multichannel Playback Test page from Fraunhoffer, and while the OReality audio doesn't use the surround sound channels, the Spatial Audio option does! So yeah, while the OnePlus doesn't have Dolby Atmos, it does support surround sound emulation. I've been using Organic Maps (<a href="https://organicmaps.app/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">organicmaps.app/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a>) for a little while now and I've had a great experience. I just have two issues:</p><p>1) Unless I download Organic Maps from the Google Play Store, I can't use it with Android Auto when I'm in a car. I want to disconnect from Google, so this is not ideal.<br>2) It seems like <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@organicmaps" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>organicmaps</span></a></span> is the official Mastodon account, but they don't have their website verified.</p><p>It only took a few minutes to copy the places I had saved on Google Maps into a note in <a href="https://mathstodon.xyz/tags/Fossify" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fossify</span></a> Notes (<a href="https://www.fossify.org/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">fossify.org/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a>). Mika<p>Dude, what the fuck is <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Plex" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Plex</a><span> up to now?<br><br>- An increase in price for their monthly Plex Pass: doesn't matter to me, why would I pay for it in the first place, esp considering how people who do often complain that the things they're paying for don't always work.<br><br>- Removal of activation fee of their </span><a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/iOS" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#iOS</a> and <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Android" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Android</a> apps on mobile (previously, already free elsewhere): good, reduces that slight <i>friction</i><span> for users from trying to using Plex.<br><br>- Remote playback on your own fuckin' server is no longer an option, without either a Plex Pass subscription or a (newly released) Remote Watch subscription: this... is stupid af.<br><br>All in all, we've been </span><i>pampered</i> with Plex and its ease of use and beautiful UI for too long, it's about time we move (and improve) <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/FOSS" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#FOSS</a> alternatives like <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Jellyfin" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Jellyfin</a><span> instead.<br><br></span>🔗 <a href="https://www.plex.tv/blog/important-2025-plex-updates" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.plex.tv/blog/important-2025-plex-updates</a></p>
