#WritersCoffeeClub JAN-05 January can be a dull month (especially in the UK). What’s your worst writing month, and why?

November. Everyone's doing #NaNoWriMo during that time, it seems. So, everywhere around me, people share that they write daily and the challenge implies that you can and have to be productive every day, which just doesn't work for me. So this isn't helping for me—on the contrary.

#WritersCoffeeClub NOV-30 As of now, how many stories have you written? How many more do you have planned?

– on #GayAuthors, I've published 3 stories in English
– on #Boypoint/ #Queerpoint, I've published 6 stories in German
– on #Wattpad, I've published a short story, also in German
– I also co-wrote a story for an advent calendar, in German as well

before that, I wrote more stuff, I never published. As of now, I'm stuck with #WritersBlock for the forseeable future

#WritersCoffeeClub JUN-04: How do you handle highly intimate scenes?

First of all, like with fight and battle scenes, I don't like to have these scenes just because. This essentially turns them into (soft) porn. So there needs to be a reason for them to be there other than reader satisfaction (see?).

When I saw what currently happens in the US in terms of #DontSayGay and other #AntiLgbtLegislation, I felt the need to write about a generation of young #queer people who grew up with #SameSexMarriage and #ComingOut vlogs on #YouTube, who never had to look for emergency exits in gay bars in their lives before

I don't know exactly, when Luca and Marc first met, but it must have been quite some time before the first chapter, since they already know each other inside out. Together, they are seen living through decades and still enjoying shared hobbies at old age.

#PennedPossibilities 230 — What characters in your WIP or your latest work are most similar to you or to people you know?

It's not a WIP but the latest story, I posted: The MC is gay and ace like me, and even though, the way, he finds out about that, is significantly different to how I did, his thoughts and feelings in many situations during the story are based on my own.

It's incredibly hard to let go of a pet friend you've spend 18 years with. But in the end, that's life. And he's the sum of his experiences. That's what he values in the end.

#WordWeavers JAN-24 Out of all your writing, what was the hardest scene for you to write? Why?

That's gonna be the sex scenes from #ForYou. Both feel uncomfortable with it but think, the other does not because that's what's expected. Besides fight and battle scenes, sex scenes are among the ones I most dislike writing.

#WordWeavers JAN-15 Do you write about dysfunctional relationships?

If you are #gay and in a #heterosexual relationship but don't know you are not straight, this relationship is probably not very healthy for you. Especially, when your girlfriend knows it but keeps this fact from you.

Also, if you want to be open about your #homosexual relationship, but your partner wants to stay closeted, you both have to ask yourself if this will work for you.

#WordWeavers DEC-12 Have you ever wanted to give up writing? What helped you continue?

Sure, more than once. First, when my first ever story on the German platform, I posted most, received a lot of questioning, I couldn't help but interpret it badly like they would tear my story to pieces.
The second time was when my readers didn't get it their way. When I didn't give them the happy ending they expected to get, but I considered it unrealistic, they were outrageous

#WordWeavers NOV-22 Did any particular books, movies or games influence your story?

#StargateSG1's "Moebius" introduced me to the idea of the Moebius strip, that is my answer to the "free will vs predetermination" debate in the story (TL;DR it's both → Schrödinger's Cat)

But what got me hyped on #parallelUniverse|s and #alternateRealities, where there's another version of (almost) all of us, was #Fringe.

#WordWeavers SEP-11 What would you do if you met your antagonist?

Christine is one of those antagonists with which you would completely sympathise if she wasn't trying to kill your protagonist—or even then. I absolutely understand, after what she's been through, that she wants revenge. However, strictly following her logic, it would mean, she'd have to kill me instead of #ArkanCotton because I wrote his character and he wrote hers.
