I have the majority of a third installment for my Sherlock Holmes (the books, of course) series done. I also have a few chapters for various stories finished that need editing. (Things for The Witcher, Star Wars, etc.) Not to be forgotten, I also have a story ready for publishing that's from Hammer Horror's Dracula universe. It's something I definitely want to post soon for @therivercrow, so that's good motivation.

So much to do, so little time.

My aunt is coming over today, though, and she'll be spending the night. Everything will have to be finished tomorrow or Sunday.

I'm stuck in my current WIP because it's just the protagonist alone with her emotions after a very emotional whirlwind of a chapter.

But I suck at writing emotions, and this is also where the first subplot comes into play, so I'm trying to weave that in. I got a little bit written the other day, but realized it's not the part that needs to come first. I've been turning it over and over in my head, trying to work out what needs to go where.

#WordWeavers 03/25/25 - Is the way your MC presents themself their true self or are they hiding a lot?

Altair hides anything about himself that might be perceived as weaknesses by others (especially his enemies). He wants to be seen as tough, intimidating, and ruthless, but is actually very emotional and caring. It takes a long time for him to open up to people, but he acts more like his true self around those he's gotten really close to.

Altair usually isn't very impulsive. Gamma on the other hand never thinks before he does anything which leads to a lot of trouble. Gamma's impulsiveness does cause certain plotpoints to happen.
