My small contribution to #WorldCleanupDay2024, collected on my walk back from the supermarket.
All single-use items, many of which were plastic bottles, or aluminium cans.
Now in my recycling bin, or alternative in the case of coffee cups & crunchy plastics.

The increased traffic is also degrading many of the tracks...Many of the tracks are historical — initially built for logging, gold mining or firebreaks — and are not designed for four-wheel driving. These tracks proliferate, they very rarely disappear."

6:15am a #rubbish #truck went down the close near us. It's not #BinDay so I'm not sure what it's collecting. I'm used to being woken up by "this truck is reversing" but as it came back to the #road I got a whole new experience: "this truck is turning left, this truck is...". Perhaps next week it'll be announcing gear changes as well.
10 min later #dogwalkers were #chatting under the #bedroom #window. Sleep? Fat chance.
