#QuestionOfTheDay what's a work that you think is underrated/overlooked because of when it came out? (for example, it came out right between 2 major releases and got overlooked, or right after or right before the much more successful thing that redefined the genre it is in, or it came out when the genre/topic/style was out of fashion or it came out before the genre/topic/style got hot, etc)

Moody Blues was my favorite band as a tween and this soundtrack (while only involving Justin) shook my world as an early adolescent. I still love it even in my 60s.
It does look like the set has changed a bit... I'm sure we had the band in the pit - the motorbike crashed into it and the conductor came out looking dishevelled I am sure... That allowed Falco's home to be where the band now is (more or less)

Off to see Bat Out Of Hell after work tonight.
Saw it in early previews and I am really hoping for two things -
* The choreography/costuming for the police has been reworked to be less goofy
* The bury your queer storyline is fixed
It wouldn't surprise me (at all) if this wasn't a deliberate campaign: disrupt shows to put theatres off including LGBTQ themes and characters.
Honestly, if you're LGBTQ-phobic, what are you even doing at the theatre??

I LOVED Crazy Ex-Girlfriend!
Rachel Bloom & the songwriters were brilliant, esp Adam Schlesinger, of Fountains of Wayne, . who wrote the song That Thing You Do.
He co-wrote 150 songs for #CrazyExGirlfriend
He died of complications of #COVID in 2020.
When I think about who we lost to COVID, Adam's name comes to mind. He was so talented & the songs brought me so much joy. Here's Bloom talking about him.
