One year after entry into force of the #DigitalServicesAct, #Musk's platform #X is still not complying with the law.
Together with @apti we alerted X that its 'Help' pages in most EU languages except English are misleading. They're sending #TrustedFlaggers who want to notify infringing content to a submission form that does not work.
Means to flag infringing content is mandatory under the #DSA. We have asked X to correct its pages by March 3, 2025 and will keep you posted on their response

However, developers of many shady apps have found a way to stay on the App Store without having to disclose their contact information, even though they clearly should be classified as traders; as their apps generate revenue in the EU.
@mysk@mastodon.socialApple has removed all apps from the App Store in the EU that failed to comply with the Digital Services Act (DSA) by the February 17, 2025, deadline. We haven't complied with the DSA yet. Our apps are no longer available in the EU. We apologize to our customers.

From a technology perspective things will get messy in Europe, Vance has confirmed the US will go in full attack against our regulations (AI Act, DSA , DMA etc), how will we react, will we compromise or not? Big risks are involved because we are extremely dependent on US tech. The US could "shut us down" if they like...(Cloud, services etc). We should start migrating to EU tech and services ASAP and/or start to build them.

We need radical transparency when it comes to access to data!
ApTi has signed, together with other human rights organizations, an open letter addressed to ANCOM and the European Commission. We ask the two institutions to require that vetted researchers receive access to data from VLOPs, as they have been designated under the #DSA regulation.
