A spiral of ants, in a dark purple ink, for today's #inkyDays drawing. They're thinking of what to say, but there is so much going on, so they're just forming patterns right now.
I made some more progress on the big piece I've been working on. I love how the colors are playing together in this one.
The ants go marching
I suspect not only that I have a colony of #ants in my #TinyHouse walls, but I've probably had that same colony since North Carolina. Now I live in the Mississippi Delta.
I haven't gotten a picture of them. Under normal circumstances, I only see them one at a time as they patrol and sometimes get on me.
But if crumbs happen, a lot appear.
The other day they somehow got INSIDE a jar of peanut butter. I must have mis-threaded the lid.
They are teensy and black.
Yeah my carpenter ants need more space to explore… look at how they have slowly gnawed down this tube. So today I hooked up a new outworld for them. #antkeeping #happyants #ants #antposting
Does anyone know a good supplier of ant farms might be? My kid is suddenly super interested in ants and I want to strike while the iron is hot.
(I would like to point out I have no idea what I’m doing.)
Video of many ants
This short clip is a very active hairy wood ant nest we saw at the weekend! There were so many ants busying around the nest entrance it was almost dizzying to watch
Jordan Dean #hormigas #ants #insectos #insects
@futurebird I’m assuming this is also a carpenter ant? This one was in Medford, MA.
Ants make a wonderful subject to film around.
@futurebird Hello. I used to feature ants in my short video loops on occasion. Some ants are so lucky to live in beautiful places. Fascinating creatures.
If you can tell us anything about this little ant, that’d be wonderful. Thank you. (More info on AltText :)
Ants. Whole bunch of 'em. Not doing anything wrong, just being ants out on their hill. Like they do.
Looks like the #ants around my office have woken from their long slumber! Last time I walked by here the hill was still and lifeless.
This hill is probably 4 feet tall, one of the bigger ones I've seen personally. They're all over the place.
Happy Spring, ants.
A spiral of ants for today's #inkyDays drawing. I also finished this big piece with fish motifs, and cut free this big harmonics inspired piece now that it is dry .

You *do* realize one of the first plot points in Phase IV is how the scientists, who are in a remote outpost in the desert, notice that all of the spiders are gone and there is a strange glowing body in the night sky... Of course how could anyone know with the telescope down...
If you see these things around your camp?... IDK buddy. This is beyond my powers of ant persuasion.
