eye contract (from business casual Dark Magician cosplayer)
This sharp-dressed version of the Dark Magician was my first "business casual" costume. (Made back in... 2016?? Time flies.)
The staff was made from a wooden dowel, napkin rings, and poster board. And the hat was made of cardboard and poster board covered in fabric and ribbon.
I'm still the most proud of finding that nice purple leather jacket at Goodwill.

Happy Chanukah!
When I was a kid I learned about holidays from cartoons, and the Rugrats taught me about Chanukah. But I got Yugi's grandpa and Tommy Pickles's grandpas confused cuz they had arca about being masked wrestlers, and I thought Yugi's grandpa was wearing a yamulke like Tommy's grandpa from the old country. So obviously Yugi's grandpa was Jewish like Tommy's grandpa.

His body was a vessel overflowing with horrors that moved his veins like puppet strings, haunting not only him but everyone around him. Most times Bakura wasn't even sure who he was anymore.
A student?
A theif?
A murderer?
Sometimes the puppet rebels against his master, tangling his wires into a twisted mess of disobedience. Voices chided him for getting in the way.
"You know you're a fool…"
But these voices, no—this /voice/ became home to him, growing used to its company. He craved the loss of control that came with being an audience member for his own annihilation.

"James, charmed… But most on this line know me by Little Jim~"
Pegasus chuckled and swirled his half empty wine glass. "Mmm~ what are you wearing, Jimmy-boy?"

Shingo's eyes sparkled at his order; a slice of chocolate crepe cake was well deserved after crushing amateurs at LDS. It was hard being as skilled as he was, and his advice, though unsolicited, came at the price of working up an appetite. His friends knew having this order ready ahead of time was a must.
"Hey, Sawatari!"
His ears reddened—the only thing sweeter than his coveted cake slice was the voice that called him.
"Sakaki Yuuya?"
"Wow, that looks great! I'm starving…"
Shingo looked between the two sweets, smirked, and handed over his fork. "Always unprepared, how predictable."
