Die Band "Bubu" gibt es nun schon seit zehn Jahren. Grund genug ein neues Album aufzunehmen und die offizielle Veröffentlichung auch standesgemäß am 27. November im "Alten Schweden" (Berlin - Wedding) zu zu feiern - natürlich mit einem live-Konzert.
Und auch mit dieser Sendung feiert "Bubu" ein Jubiläum, denn vor sieben Jahren waren sie das letzte Mal live im Gespräch und im Radio, wie man hier nachhören kann: https://t.ly/6hCpZ
Und so unterhalte ich mich nun mit Ben Lehmann (Kontrabass) über seine musikalischen Anfänge, die tatsächlich mit seinem aktuellen Hauptinstrument recht wenig zu tun haben und frage nach den entscheidenden Momenten, die zur Gründung von "Bubu" geführt haben. Auf diese Art und Weise arbeiten wir uns - wortwörtlich - Stück für Stück in die Gegenwart vor, indem wir einige Songs spielen, die während dieser langen Zeitspanne entstanden sind und freuen uns am Ende schon auf die nächsten zehn Jahre "Bubu".

A few hours from now, that beloved orgy of musical consumerism, Bandcamp Friday, will be once again upon us. I'm still hawking a newish solo saxophone cassette from this year, of which I'm quite proud. There are a few other items up there, including a CD, some older tapes, and pay-what-you-can downloads.
