Despite being a game that I have known through magazines since my childhood, I only had the opportunity to play it quite recently. Dr. Mario is a very clever little game, which in its simplicity is very engaging. I prefer the Game Boy version.

@schizanon@mastodon.socialTurns out #Rocknix needs it's roms in a /roms folder while the stock #Anbernic keeps it at the root of the ext card. I seem to remember that from when I installed #GarlicOS on my #RG35xx.
I wish all these #opensource #emulation projects could get together and standardize a few things. Feels like a solvable problem.

Ordered an ANBERNIC RG35XX Plus Game Console, which was recently released. Ironically I already have the original on its way, but of course they announce an improved version while mine is taking its time to arrive 
For retro gaming on the move, looks to be a fun device which I look forward to exploring.

I'm thinking of getting a console, but can't decide — #myioominiplus or #rg35xx?
According to the videos, the RG35XX is a nicer size, has better (warmer) display colors, and (probably) has better build quality. But the Miyoo has Wi-Fi (does it have any real use?) and runs #Pico8 games on it. But it's more expensive (and I couldn't find any official store).
And now I just don't know what to choose.

Everyone owning an #Anbernic #RG35XX probably accepted by now that GarlicOS is pretty much dead. But don't worry - you may want to give Koriki a try.
Unlike GarlicOS, Koriki can make use of the GPU for hardware-accelerated 3D. It can do N64, PSP, and Dreamcast therefore (but only a few games work so far)

So far I've bought an #anbernic #rg353vs, #rg405v, #rg35xx, and a #miyoominiplus. That's in addition to the #New3DSXL, #GameBoyAdvance, and #GameBoyAdvanceSP I already have. What's really bad is I keep looking at the horizontal #handhelds as well.
I think I might have a problem.

@rasterweb@mastodon.socialOne of my tweaks for the Anbernic running GarlicOS. Since I am not an old time gamer I don't know what the heck controller goes with what the heck old console system!
So I added text labels. I didn't really plan it out so it could have been much better, but it works for now.
It was just a matter of editing the images on the SD card.
I decided to treat myself with a little retro handheld. It's been fun to tinker around with it thus far!
