A bookmark in the shape of a snowdrop (a plant with roots, it looks like it is growing from a book), made from nettles using needle felting. The snowdrop is made in dark gray and red, because so far I only had these colors to test. The bookmark lies on the page of an open book, which is on a white background, with dry plants lying nearby. Our next talk is by Dr. Pigg about the Eocene flora of Republic, Washington. Rumour has it that there may be a field trip there later this year!

My #SiberianTea plants are blooming like mad, right now. This flowering #plant is aka elephant's ears.

It has edible leaves & rhizomes - dry & make into an herbal tea that helps with flu, pneumonia, headaches, fevers, laryngitis & gastrointestinal diseases. Chinese, Russian, Tibetan & Mongolian cultures have used this plant for many generations as part of their traditional medicines.

A close-up shows vibrant pink flowers clustered together, glistening with numerous water droplets. The blooms are cupped and delicate, with subtle variations in pink hue. Large, rounded green leaves peek from behind & beneath the flowers, providing a contrasting backdrop. The surrounding soil & other plants create a muted, natural environment.
