Ist jedes Jahr spannend, ob die Orchideen oder die Begleitvegetation die optische Oberhand bekommen. Hier war es mal ausgeglichen. Drôme-Ragwurz und Fliegen-Ragwurz hybridisieren an Standorten mit gemeinsamen Vorkommen recht leicht. Das Ergebnis ist dann eine hohe, schlanke pflanze mit den Merkmalen beider Elternteile. Hier sind sowohl Fliegen-Ragwurz (links), Drôme-Ragwurz als auch die Hybride (Mitte) zusammen zu sehen.

It's a good thing that I decided to photograph this pretty Phalaenopsis Orchid this morning. Otherwise I might not have noticed the little bug (woolly aphid?) & I wouldn't have checked my other orchids in the back bedroom & found 4 more had them.
I don't know where they came from. I haven't bought any new plants recently.

A very pretty pink & white Phalaenopsis orchid, with a tiny bug nestled right at the back where I hadn't noticed it. I think it might be a woolly aphid, which could be really bad news for my little orchid collection.

Das Milchweiße Knabenkraut ist eine wenige Zentimeter große, frühblühende Orchidee des Mittelmeerraums, die erst aus der Nähe ihre wahre Schönheit Preis gibt. Die Blütenfarbe variiert zwischen weiß und violett mit allen erdenklichen Zwischenabstufungen, auch in der Ausprägung der Punktzeichnung.
