I don't have difficulty getting rid of things because I'm a hoarder, it's because I've lived in scarcity a lot of my life and know the very real expense of having to replace things I could have just held on to.
The flip side of hoarding, where you have the mindset to discard everything not of immediate use, doesn't seem to be demonised anywhere near as much.
Minimalism is the luxury of a post-scarcity life experience.
Hoarding is the defence mechanism of poverty.

By the way, one triumphal success like this, when I resurrect a treasure from the hoard at a time of super low money, undermines MONTHS of progress on the eternally-shaky project of convincing myself not to hoard old tech gear (and other stuff) "because I might need it someday when I can't just go out and buy it."

1. I lose things so frequently, that I am hesitant to get rid of anything that I might lose in the future, such as chargers and cables. I have a full sized shopping bag filled with them.
2. #AttentionBlindness means that anything I'm not seeing doesn't exist. So organization becomes a nightmare. I put things in boxes, and then forget about them, and end up with multiples of them.
The potential disclosure was reported to #SpecialCounsel #JackSmith's team as they investigated #Trump's alleged #hoarding of #ClassifiedDocuments at #MarALago…. The info could shed further light on Trump's handling of sensitive government secrets.

I really hate doing this but I am at no choice right now. I am in desperate need of cleaning supply to clean my mothers house, I’m an unemployed minor with divorced parents, my father disowned me for being trans, tried to kill me, is highly abusive, so is my step mother. My mother is a hoarder, she hoards animals, trash, random things, even rocks from the river. I am only at her house on weekends and it’s inconsistent. I am trying to clean the house as much as I can in hopes I can go back full time with her as I have more freedom there, the main issue is that she’s a hoarder and buys animals and not food. This being said, I am trying to make money for food and cleaning products. I have gathered some products to help me clean the house and 2 medium pizza’s for dinner and lunch (maybe breakfast) for two days. I’ll be attaching photos below of what the house looked like 2 weeks ago, within this time my mother had also bought 2 more rabbits and 2 cages (Worth over $600). She refuses to buy food and cleaning products because she’s too poor from buying animals. I suffer from mental health and cleaning this mess is very hard for me, I can’t be in the house very long due to these issues. I am trying to get at LEAST cleaning supply as I can steal food from the store if needed, cleaning supplies will be a bit harder. I am a trans person who already suffers from shitty mental health due to transphobia, home issues, etc. and just getting this off my plate would help a lot. Every penny counts!! Thank you Fedi!!!
