This 320 mile bikepacking route in Idaho sounds pretty fun. I am not (currently?) a bikepacker, but could see trying some sections of this.

It was one of those cold, rainy mornings where you've all but given up on biking but then the clouds part, Sun peeks out, and hope arrives. And also a cute little skunk.

On the way back I was headed West and this skunk was headed East so I stopped to take a photo and figure out next best steps. It didn’t seem to notice me at all, but some people walking from behind it got it to scurry faster. Then, when I biked by it raised the tail, but not pointed in an direction that would get me. “:^)

Granite wall where they cut through to make the railroad in the 1800’s. Moss is growing on the edges along with lichen and even some small ferns.

30 mile (48km) ride on rail trail and side roads this morning. Fall means early morning fog along the river and lake.

On a nearby hill there’s a house with an out building or barn with untreated wood looking rustic, on top of the roof is a VW vanagon or camper van, maybe faded red? No obvious reason for this. “:^)

Longer gravel bike ride today. Nothing too muddy. I'm guessing the unrelenting wind the past few days has dehydrated the roads. Came across a new (to me) graveyard.

I'm a former USMC journalist (8yrs). After getting out, I worked as a freelance photog for the big paper here in Houston for about 5yrs. Kind of a #politics nerd, more local stuff though. My undergrad degree included a Poli Sci minor.

I like #GravelCycling, #watercolor, playing guitar and my dog. And of all the things about me, being #trans is probably the least interesting.

Perhaps a small #introduction in english is in its place, since i joined Todon.nl today!

My name is Robert and im guy from #Stockholm #Sweden . I have been a full time unionrepresentative in the Swedish Municipal workers union for almost 10 years. During those years i have negotiated for people that work as "personal assistants", wich i think exists in Sweden and a couple of other countries, but for you who dont know what it is, its aiding people with disabilities (sorry i dont know if this term is Ableist in english, in swedish it kinda is)

Im also politically active in the Swedish Left party and is a member of our board in the "district" of Greater Stockholm (we have about 10k member). And i am elected since 4 years i The City council of Stockholm. Primarily i have worked with Elderly politics and disability-questions.
