beyondwatts<p>Have an opportunity to run some fibre cable to the homelab in our external garage when we dig a trench for something else. I’ll be running Cat6 also. Paul Fenwick<p>And here's the final yucca fibre! </p><p>First pic is dried but not brushed. It's got lots of cruft and stuck fibres. </p><p>The second and third are after using my cat's brush. Paul Fenwick<p>An unexpected part of using a scapula to scrape the fibres is that I had to stop to sharpen my bone a few times.</p><p>I'm the end I'm very happy with the result. Paul Fenwick<p>I've taken out the most smooshy yucca leaf from the retting pool, and I've given it a good scrape with my scraper (a sheep scapula, a traditional scraping tool).</p><p>It feels like I'm doing this at the right time! The fibres are coming out clean, but not breaking. 1/2 Before #FastFashion, with irresponsible exploitation of ressources and workers, people invented ingenious methods to develop #naturalFibres.
I made #plantFibres myself by hand and it is indeed #slowFashion! The black hair is from a neighbour's #horse, the greyish one I combed with a dog comb from #hemp.
