Do you know what's great about #collage and #mixedmedia? I can recycle my less-than-ideal drawings and almost nothing gets wasted. Here it's: pencil, acryllic paint, stickers, printouts, craft paper and probably some packaging or other papers.
I made it years ago, but only now am I sorting the scanned art from non-scanned and I'm scanning and putting it all into boxes. Must be the Spring.

more scraps collages. incorporated some writing, inspired by @helveticablanc and while i did use it for a while in other areas, it didn't stick as part of art-making.

(the lowest segment on the right collage is actually a piece of reflective gold, did not scan well).

abstract collage on grid paper. it looks like a bowl, or bowl within a bowl, out of which rise or burst three different jets of matter. yellow, brown, and see through white. on the top left of the page, in the negative space, some symbols in brown ink and pencil.
this little collage seems bolder. the stacked elements form a more narrow structure, and the middle square piece features a bold black zigzag. it's balanced on a smaller gold rectangle, and topped by yellow overlapping on grey. a darker grey narrow band drawn in ink peeks out from behind.

more scrap collages from the notebook. these were rejects from a different circle series i was doing in the ~official~ sketchbook 🤷

i removed some notes from above the second one, but later on i just start blurring them instead, so the composition isn't so totally off.

abstract collage on grid paper. it's a small rectangular composition with a background of cream paper. at the top a circle is divided horizontally, its lower half a greyish blur, its top half covered in gold and orange smudges. under the circle a white piece splotched with grey carves out negative space, maybe resembling a wave on the ocean, following the curve of the circle.
two circles stacked on top of each other, each made up of horizontal semi-circular halves. topmost segment is black with an interesting inky texture, its partner a gradient from peachy pink to white with some subtle grey squiggles, looks a bit like marble. the bottom circle is gold on top and grey on the bottom, with some pink feather tips along the middle.
