I am walking along the shore of the beautiful Palić lake in Serbia and stop fascinated by the scene I see. This is a really beautiful sight to see. It seems as the storm is coming soon and one part of the sky has already become cloudy and dramatic. In the distance, I can still see the light sky and the remaining sun rays breaking through the clouds. Beneath the dark clouds that are coming and cover the sky is the calm lake water of a turquoise color. Everything is so wonderful and peaceful that I would like to stay as long as possible and enjoy this scene until the storm comes or it starts to rain. One May day. Palić lake is located in Vojvodina, 8 kilometers from the town of Subotica, one of the most beautiful cities in Serbia. This is the largest natural lake in Serbia, and the first records of it date from the 15th century where it is mentioned under the name Pali. this fabulous lake is nowadays one of the most popular destinations in Serbia and the host of a film festival. If you ever come to Serbia you should definitely visit this beautiful place.

According to the legend, Palić lake was created from the tears of shepherd Pavle who lost his herd and that is why the water is salty. According to another story, the lake was created from the ancient Pannonian Sea that once bathed the shores of today’s Pannonian Plain.

I think The greatest artist is actually nature. I love to walk in nature and take photos of everything that seems valuable to be noticed with the camera eye. This was taken one late summer afternoon in Sumadija, Central Serbia. I was walking by the field of unmown wheat while stormy clouds accumulated over it. The sky started to get some purple tones and to look dramatic. Although it was still a day it was very dark. I took my camera, took a shot and moved on. From the Summer Fields Collection 2020. Sumadija, central Serbia.
