I spent the weekend hanging out with my partner, @AshBurnem and learning a new hobby. I’ve been interested in learning needlepoint for a while and am excited to get into it. I made a bath token from spirited away! I also made us cupcakes to celebrate our 15th anniversary. Our first date was making cupcakes together and I look forward to another 15 years

My photo app reminded me it's our legal anniversary today, though we really celebrate our Buddhist wedding on June 5, 1999. A slice of chocolate cake might be in order tonight!

In addition to all the profit-orientated tech giants, it is invaluable to have good alternatives that protect the privacy of their users. 
I would like to thank the entire VIVALDI #team for their fantastic work over the last 10 years. You guys make the difference! 
And I must also acknowledge the challenges we're dealing with here. I'm just begging everyone to be cool if you see someone using the fediverse a bit differently than what you're used to, or goes on a bit of a rant to vent a minor frustration, or asks a rhetorical question.
Not everything requires a response.
If you mostly agree with a post, give it a like/star/whatever, and move on with your life. If you disagree, but the person isn't hurting anyone, then the post is not for you.
I just want the fediverse to be a safe place we can share together, where people can come to be themselves, and where we can connect and help each other. We all need this.

A little Fediverse history for y'all.
A year ago tomorrow something was trending in the (mostly just German language) Fediverse, that didn't trend anywhere else, afaik.
The #AntifaSticker meme!
The idea existed long before and the premise didn't change: Take the antifa logo and replace the text with a rhyme - usually with the format "something something but still here, something something antifa", which rhymes in German.
There were so many versions created in the next days and weeks that nobody could count.
