This one was already on my Anime March Madness list, and since it was conveniently available on my husband’s tablet, I thought, why not? So, I watched it yesterday! 
Now, I’m actively looking forward to Season 2 of this #anime and hoping we get some exciting developments!

It appears to be anime rodent week. I watched these three within the same hour, so it stuck out to me.
-Sasaki and Peeps
-The Apothecary Diaries
-Unwanted Undead Adventurer (チビスリ, chibi souris [french for mouse] with kanji 小鼠)
Did I imagine it, or did it seem as though the animation budget imploded in this week's Sasaki & Peeps? The animation models seemed off, and the animation itself was awkward and janky. I'm hoping that they're saving money for a big action scene in the next few episodes, but the bit where the two carriages passed each other was just laughable- and they showed it TWICE in the episode XD

If I had a nickel every time they showed a Costco Offbrand in Anime this fortnight, I would have 2 nickels.
Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.
1) Costaco Supercenter from Sasaki And Peeps
2) Costaco from A Sign of Affection
I somehow made it and my computer didn't implode, but it is about out of space 
Good news is I was able to add a History tab to show which episodes have been watches, and added an entry for #SasakiAndPeeps, which is genuinely one of the better shows this season! Tomorrow I'dd jump head first into queuing, see you then!

Finally, some bird vs flying enemy aerial magic combat. 
The short fight scene animation in Sasaki and Peeps was excellent.
OK, I think the "isekai/magical girl/X-files" anime is gonna be my favorite anime of winter 2024. #SasakiAndPeeps #anime
There’s also a high school girl showing up in the next door apartment to Sasaki which is, even in the first episode, showing disturbing signs of being a #Higehiro type side plot. Please, no, don’t go there. #SasakiAndPeeps
Having magic mistaken for psychic powers by a local mostly secret intelligence agency made up of local psychics is a bit of a twist I wasn’t expecting. It does create the worry that #SasakiAndPeeps might be biting off more than it can chew for a (presumably) 1-cour show.
Which leads to a scene of #SasakiAndPeeps in a tavern somewhere where Peeps is eating meat. With the onscreen disclaimer (which #CrunchyRoll subtitled, because of **course** they would) to: “*Do not feed meat to Java sparrows that aren’t reincarnations of starsages!”
I’m presuming that to be good advice for bird keeping. 
So Sasaki is your average salaryman in a dead end job who acquires a Java Sparrow as a pet. Except this Java sparrow is a reincarnation of a Starsage who gives him the power to teleport between worlds #SasakiAndPeeps
Ok, back and forth #isekai are still relatively rare - #SavingOneMillionGoldInAnotherWorldForMyRetirement with the charmingly ruthless Mitsuha is about the only other one I can remember. But #SasakiAndPeeps has already amused me somewhat.
