Buried skull of the Garden King? #mosstodon #headcanon
Magic System Idea I'm working out:
Magic shouldn't be an MP bar, but HP. It should be powered by your actual life force. Go too far, and you run out of energy, and you simply die. Your heart stops beating, lacking the energy to do so.
And overlying Architecture - Whatever method is commonly used for spell casting should be an overlay created in the distant past by unknown people. The Magic should be able to directly used, without needing to know the specific incantations or mechanizations, by those who are skilled enough to utilize it - But this is far more dangerous.
Structure - There shouldn't be any random ass words that just do a grand effect. No, it should be a structured spell. EG Instead of saying "Light" you would say "Make a Light appear at the end of my wand until I tell it to stop, or I am at less than 20% of my energy"
If you forget the "tell it to stop/20%" part, it will continue until you die - Unless you think to specifically say "Remove the light at the end of my wand" - Which will take far more power, as it's a second spell, and not a continuation of the first.
Training your Physical Body is a prime way to increase your magical output - But so is practice. Casting Magic will burn your fat reserves in a hurry, but go too far too often and you'll start burning muscle for energy too.
In this lore, a common thing for Mages to carry in their backpack is Energy Drinks, but far worse for you than anything found on earth - 4x more Caffeine and basically sugar in a can.
Raw Energy in an incredibly quickly digested form.
There seems to be a lot of confusion about the gatekeeping criteria for first contact and Starfleet's Prime Directive. Allowing contact only when a species develops warp drive is not about them achieving some threshold of maturity or technological sophistication that would mean they are somehow "ready" to be contacted and deal with the reality of living in a galaxy full of starfaring alien civilizations.
The reason that achieving warp drive is the checkpoint for contact is that there's no longer any way to avoid it. As soon as a species gets warp drive, they will be out among the stars and will soon encounter alien civilizations. There's no point in trying to keep them isolated when they can just fly to another star and meet aliens there.
So, in my interpretation, the first contact rule is entirely pragmatic, and not based on whether a civilization is "ready" for contact. When it's obvious contact will happen one way or another, that's when you should step in and do it under controlled circumstances.

Headcanon Thread
I still think my #BojackHorseman #headcanon that #VincentAdultman was actually a mangled war veteran with cheap prosthetic limbs and a job at a startup incubator called "The Business Factory" would've been a great reveal for them to pull.
"Wait, he WASN'T three kids in a trenchcoat??"
"No Bojack, wait... did you actually think that?"
"Why do you think I kept saying it?"
"Well, everyone knows you hate the troops, we just figured it was like a metaphor..."
"But... One of his arms is clearly a broom!"
"Yeah Bojack, because the VA doesn't have the funding to give double-amputees two prosthetic arms, because of people like you who hate the troops!"
"Damnit, now I have to go on Keith Olberman's show again..."
As I am eagerly awaiting the season finale of Doctor Who, let me entertain this headcanon....
In a darkened room, she looks through various monitors, taking down notes on what she sees. As she is scribbling on one particular monitor, a door opens with a silent hiss of airlocks.
As the newcomer approaches her, she speaks one word. "Report!"
"Apologies, my queen," the figure says, "but it seems he has escaped the trap."
She hums nonchalantly as she still focuses on monitoring the figure shown on the screen. "So he has," she says. She sighs, but a smile hovers over her lips. "Oh my dear Doctor, whatever will I do with you?"
She turned to the figure, a short fuzzy creature with big amber eyes. "This part of the experiment has failed, but still has provided ample data for the next one. Prepare for it."
The figure bowed as best as they could. "Of course, my queen, my Rani."
As they scurried away, her lips curled up in a cruel smile. She turned back to her wall of screens, her mind carefully planning for her next phase of operations.
My kid and I have a running head-canon that cats are actually higher-dimensional slug monstrosities that our human brains can't fully comprehend.
The "cats" we know and love are actually an anglerfish-like protrusion that pokes through into our lower-dimensional spacetime.
The saliva they coat themselves in contains a mild hallucinogen which produces a calming effect that helps mask their true natures, so they can lure humans closer to feed off the kinetic energy of headpats.
Dragon lore & magic, long post
This is purely my own headcanon and dragon related lore that lives in my head, but it's something I've wanted to share for a while.
In my head, all dragons are capable of using magic, no matter what kind of dragon they are, since magic courses through inside all of them. This allows them to cast magic without needing to cast any kind of incatations, though some prefer to say them anyway to sound more majestic or cool.
All dragons has access to some basic dragon magic, like shape/sizeshifting, magic breath and flight (even those without wings can fly, either by floating or by conjuring wings with some practice).
This will obviously apply to my own sona Tesh, who apart from his natural magic, specialices to a more obscure kind of magic. More, cosmic like.
For example Tesh is capable of creating domains or area of effect fields with different properties and enchants, negating gravity, creating objects with minor sentience like magic hands or blankets or even floating hearts. Memory fragments that are created when the caster and one more person are next to them, so that they can relive the memories later, access to magic pockets, etc.
I've been using the aforementioned ones in my own writing, and I know certain someone who enjoys whenever I write myself using the magic.

Lolicon/Footjob/Sex Slave
I love these commissions or collaborations with @InvincibleSugar [baraag.net] and @Blakie [baraag.net]
I will celebrate the most recent drawing of Barimé with the results of Jack's slave girl sale for Barimé. Candy was sold to one pedo and Barimé was sold to three together. Like Candy the men owning Barimé are nice to their new slave. Maybe the other two girls will be less fortunate.
If I could be one of these men I would be very happy.
long, jojo fan theory rant
Jojo theory that's been presented to me and I accept as canon: The true stand power of Star Platinum is evolution - that is, it's able to adapt its own capabilities to fulfill the needs presented by emergent situations.
Think about it! At base level, it has enhanced strength, speed, and perception, far from unheard of for a close range stand. Then, the first instance of Star Finger comes when he's completely pinned down by Dark Blue Moon's barnacles, in need of a way to attack precisely and suddenly at range without moving his body - and just that emerges seemingly out of nowhere. Then, when faced with Justice, a stand made out of fog and therefore immune to physical attacks, Star Platinum is able to inhale hard enough to suck the entire stand in, an ability we haven't seen before or since.
Finally, against The World, which is able to stop time, Star Platinum is forced again to adapt and evolve new powers to combat the unusual threat. So on the spot, it develops exactly the ability it needs to match time stopping: a time stop of its own! What else can combat a time stopper, after all? Jotaro and Dio attribute Star Platinum's time stopping powers to it being a similar type of stand to The World, but this is a miscorrelation; the perceived similarities in speed, power and appearance are purely coincidental (somewhat related to them both being close-range stands) and Star Platinum's time stopping abilities are the result of its power to gain new abilities as the need arises.
Of course, this is all just a headcanon fan theory, but I accept it as my own personal canon, even if it's unlikely Araki ever thought of it that way. Death of the author, and all that.
@actuallyautistic Reasons why I #headcanon #tangotek of #hermitcraft as a #gifted #autistic icon:
- he rarely „smiles“, he rather smirks
- very subtle humour, rarely ironic
- he‘s very deep into minecraft tech (#specialinterest ?)
- he built a game in game, controlled by a computer in a game
- he‘s hugely organized with occasional chaotic spots (#audhd ?)
- he always streams at the same time
- always wears the same shirts, same coffee mug
- he‘s actually an #itprofessional & #gamedev
Contrary to popular belief, #headcanon does not in fact refer to a Gatling hat.
