Progress has been slow but steady; I have overestimated the precise lining technique that I have set up, and I will go back over it to straighten it up. Sydney Solis interviewed me during her most recent sojourn in Japan. I summarize a legend of a woman diver and its ancient history, based on original source research all in Japanese. Then we both interpret its rich symbolism in terms of depth psychology. Among our conclusions is that archetypes in the story, such as the divine feminine, activated by the natural symbolism of diving into the depths, could help heal our modern alienation of the mind from the body and nature.

Today in Labor History April 22 April 22, 1946: Writer and director, John Waters, was born. Among his many classic films are his early low budget trash films, staring Divine, like Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble, and Polyester (filmed in “odoroma” with scratch and sniff cards). His later, higher budget films include Pecker, Dirty Shame, Cecil B. Demented, and Hairspray. In the Cockettes documentary, he said the famous drag performers were an early influence on his films.
No matter how sacred people claim they are, religious beliefs are subjective and not immune to criticism just like any other belief system or ideology. Criticism of religion is not an attack on individuals, it's a critique of ideas and practices that have societal implications.
