There are a number of excellent ongoing efforts to rescue data so there's no need for us to replicate them…Our goal is to make these materials easy to find and permanently available…We’re calling on librarians and researchers to help identify endangered materials from government agencies and suggest at-risk websites and repositories. 3/ The Mastodon work is essentially solo. There are no "guest posts" on Mastodon accounts but I do boost the posts of others.

It aims "to serve as a clearinghouse for #data rescue-related efforts and data access points for public US governmental data that are currently at risk." And it's #crowdsourced, which gives it fighting chance to be comprehensive and up to date.

I'm very aware that a solo effort, like this Mastodon thread, doesn't scale to the size of this task and I welcome the arrival of a crowdsourced effort. I will use it and refer people to it.

Update. Is anyone making a public list of those #textbooks? That would benefit the whole country.

It seems to me that such a list could satisfy the @wikipedia #NPOV. "Here are the revised, #FL-approved books" and either "no opinion on whether the revisions were a good idea" or "here is the controversy". But even if Wikipedia would reject it, there are many other ways to make a #crowdsourced #openaccess list.
