The #cpc have no candidates listed. Only messages from Dear Leader, and it’s sparse. Mostly just his transcribed words. The ironic part is I have seen door hangers for the CPC candidate in my riding, but no idea what his name is. If it is anything like the provincial election, I expect MASSIVE CPC signage in my riding. It didn’t work provincially… we’ll see what happens now.
The #LPC have many candidates listed and ready, lots of content. No one mentioned for my riding. (They are not generally a contender)
The #NDP has almost all candidates listed but ironically, not mine even though I just received a sign, but the site is ready with similarly lots of content.
The #GPC has only a handful of candidates, but our local candidate @chrismarkevich is listed.
With such an incredibly short campaign there will not be much time for parties to fill out the details. No doubt everyone will be hyper focused on GOTV efforts. Advance voting will begin in just a couple weeks!

@chris@mstdn.chrisalemany.caCurrent polls as #elxn45 starts ironically has the #NDP both looking toward a historic low, mostly due to losses in B.C., but could still potentially hold the balance of power if the Liberals come up just short of a majority.
That said, the Liberals have to be *very* happy with this as it stands. It could still improve for them but the #CPC are not far off. Well within possibility of forming government.
172 seats is needed for a majority.

MAGA Delegates have urged Romanian officials to fast track Calin Georgescu’s confirmation as President.
Election investigations have since uncovered a coordinated Russian campaign, including cyberattacks and payments to influencers to promote Georgescu’s messages on social media.
A follow up raid revealed Georgescu had 1 million in Russian rubles, a cache of weapons, and a plane ticket to Moscow in his possession.
On “X” Musk posted “The candidate in Romania who received the most votes was arrested today” excluding all mention of Russia’s interference.
It was recently announced that Georgescu will be allowed to run for President despite these allegations and all efforts to disqualify him.
With Musk now boosting Pierre Poilievre on X, America’s goal to install a corruptible, subservient Prime Minister becomes clear.
With Democracy itself under constant attack by foreign interference around the World, why does Poilievre not care to be briefed on such threats to his own Country?

Great point from @jessebrown on #CanadaLand about the trade war and the upcoming federal election in #Canada: regardless of whether you're a #LPC, #NDP, #CPC, or #BlocQuebecois candidate, we don't want to see you spending a dime on electoral ads on Meta platforms or Elon's Nazi Xesspool, or, I would add, on any form of Google ad.
Additionally, I for one will be looking for Amazon packages outside candidates' riding offices; I hope to see none. Canada before candidate; Canada before party. Put your money where your mouth is, all of you, and don't give those fascist oligarchs another dime.

It looks like March 26th will be the latest date for an election call. That is the scheduled date of the next non-postponable confidence vote in the House.
The NDP and Bloc have made it clear they will not be supporting the government.
