My little na'vi character accidentally bonded with a big scary looking ikran.
I was kind of put off by #zoom shots in #avatar and #avatar2 that #jamescameron apparently likes so much. They looked like they have no reason. Until today in #moriasrace I animated 2 such zoom shots. I guess I understand James finally. They do make sense.
Ah whatever. Got asked by someone on discord to draw them a Na'vi Portrait ~ so here we go

We finally saw „avatar: the way of water“ and all i can say is that i already am in with love our real oceans ~ didn’t need a fictional one to remind me 
but i appreciated the spectacle x,D

Ok so #Avatar2 is great. Sure it’s not the story of the year, but it’s visually stunning. The 3D is extremely well done (no headache after 3h30), and it’s just beautiful and entrancing. Could they have trimmed about 20 minutes? The biggest issue? variable frame rate. It simply sucks. It makes all HFR scenes feel like a video game cutscene (takes you out of the movie), and all normal 24FPS scenes feel extremely stuttery by comparison. Terrible technology. Either go HFR or don’t, don’t mix the 2!
I caved to the Hollywood overlords and booked a seat for #Avatar2. 3D and all the bells and whistles!

I take my hat off, because this world exists, out there somewhere. Waiting for us to destroy it :)
