Relatedly, cops thought my hydroponic cacti setup was a bomb. They really thought for a moment I was gonna go oklahoma-city on my school.

Context, some group was testing a funky looking radar project by a street on the opposite side of campus at 5AM. Police got a "bomb threat" call at that location, got showed the radar project, and moved on. Ok, probably some paranoid passerby, but they're gonna sweep the whole school just in case.

Then they found my hydroponics bin behind the student dorms and cops went "blahhhhh bomb!!!111!!1!!," shut down the street, evacuated half of the students for hours during finals week, and got a bomb tech and K9 unit on site. All over a tub of water attached to bins with plants in it.

Somehow, even though school security was involved in the investigation, it took them 3 hours to contact me, despite relevant student leadership knowing about my hydroponic projects...
