Bob BenzSpring fever. After a relatively rough winter, things are warming up and the forest is humming with tree frogs, wood frogs, and spring peeps. Ramps (Allium tricoccum) are starting to emerge in our ramp beds. And we've set up a bee hive. sohkamyungMy first snake sighting in the Year of the Snake 2025, and it's a beauty. The Blue Malaysian Coral Snake (Calliophis bivirgatus), spotted at Thomson Nature Park on 23 Feb 2025. A highly venomous snake, this one was quite calm and not bothered by the crowd watching it (it did not raise its tail as a warning).
