Ozzie D, NP-hard :bikepump: :vegan:Ok, "Bug Bite Thing" is a US$10 suction tool (featured on Shark Tank in 2019) that purports to "remove the insect saliva/venom and eliminate the itching, stinging, and swelling". Sawyer sells its own version (also marketed for snake bites), probably there are other copycats. Lots of people (including patients of mine) swear by this technique, but my instincts say it can't possibly work -- that <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/mosquito" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#mosquito</a> saliva and <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/hymenoptera" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#hymenoptera</a> venom are absorbed too fast, and can't just be sucked back out through the epidermis. But maybe it does help? I can't find anyone who's studied its efficacy. I can't even find any background science to tell me if it might be feasible.
