ScruffyBrush
Finally beat #satisfactory (107h)
3/5

I liked it a lot but I expected more after playing it to death during early access

The early and mid game are great but the late game gets rough with little payoff.

I loved exploring for random hard drives despite us barely ever using their alternate recipes. I just really like the minecraft feeling of walking home hoping nothing randomly kills you while your pants are full of things that are hard to come by.

I loved the early game, unlocking meaningful equipment, new tools for you to interact or go out and explore and feel the tech progression on a personal level (Exoskeleton, Parachute, Jetpack, full auto gun, gas mask, cars, trains, etc)
But felt like the late game had too little on that front. Mostly harder recipes and vertical scaling options

Also, something I really liked was you are accompanied by a narrator (unlike Factorio). Each milestone is greeted by Glados-like backhanded compliments. It makes you curious what is the robot's goal but the ending falls flat with very little narrative payoff.

The game ends on a mostly expected and almost insultingly inconsequential outcome.

Overall my time with Satisfactory was... Satisfactory I guess

#SatisfactoryGame #GameReview
