Good morning and happy Thursday!

Mrs was out with MDMRNia until almost 10 pm last night as they went to see Wicked on Broadway and didn't get into town until then.

So, me and MDMRN Twin 1 ended up watching Sailor Moon R: The Movie last night.

A few weeks ago I started watching Sailor Moon for the first time. I'm pretty sure I'm not the first one noticing this, but the artstyle of this show is amazing. This is me trying to paint a cityscape of Tokyo in acrylics, based on a Sailor Moon shot. It was so much fun mixing all those kinds of pink and purple!

One of my early fanfics had Sailor Mercury becoming part of the Dark Kingdom, owing to alternate timeline shenanigans. Years later (in 2003), the Live Action #SailorMoon did an arc with Dark SailorMercury. I think that's the closest I've ever come to RL.

(The fic is on AO3, "What Evil Lurks", fwiw.)

Sailor Moon is one of the reasons I began drawing in the first place. I never drew Sailor Mars on her own tho! So here we are! :)

Three portraits of Sailor Mars from the manga and tv show Sailor Moon. The first has her with her eyes closed, the second she opens her eyes and loose somewhere near the camera, and the third she has moved her head more and looked downward as though in shame.
